Tucking is an alternate relaxation technique to calm the nervous system. It involves swaddling the contours of the client's body with linens and supporting the joints which allows one to feel as if they are suspended or floating.
Tucking can be an enjoyable treatment for anyone, but it is especially beneficial for hyperactive individuals, children, older people and survivors of abuse.
Clients may remain fully clothed although loose, comfortable attire is suggested.
Tucking is not recommended for clients who experience claustrophobia and may not be recommended for clients with certain contagious conditions. Please share your complete medical history so that your massage therapist can ensure you are given the most effective treatment possible.
